Project Description:
For this assignment I was asked to bring in three small objects from around my house that I did not usually notice. Then, I created vector images of the objects, and began simplifying the illustration until it was easily recognizable. When I was satisfied with my logo, I created my own company and word-mark that related to my object. Finally, I started making a business package that included a letterhead, envelope, business card, and brochure.Notes:

In Symbols, I learned about illustration and branding. I was taught that in order to design a logo, I must first understand the target market I was trying to reach. From there I try to get a good feel for the desired image that the logo will project. If there is no existing company logo or if a logo redesign is required, this process is crucial.Notes:

Project Description:
In Visual Systems, I was asked to create a beer or wine company as well as an event that they would host. In addition, I needed to design three different labels for three different types of alcohol. My concept was to create a logo that could be read from both directions, enabling a person to read the wine label while it was upside down on the rack.Notes:

Project Description:
When assigned a project to design an annual report for a company that had been lacking in creativity, I thought it would be interesting to choose a company that is commonly used and often overlooked, such as YKK zipper manufacturing. I began by creating the slogan "Connecting the pieces of life," then designed a cover to illustrate the slogan.Notes:
